Supervisor, Construction (Transmission)

Location: Westwood, MA; based in Eastern Massachusetts with travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary. System-wide on-call and emergency restoration responsibilities are required.

Annual salary: $130,100–$144,560, commensurate with experience, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Supervise construction field management and inspection for transmission line and substation projects using contractor resources.
• Directly supervise Transmission Construction Representatives and coordinate with project management, engineering, scheduling, contract administration, legal, purchasing, and field teams.
• Manage construction-phase cost, productivity, schedules, best practices, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental programs, policies, rules, and regulations.
• Lead safety awareness, safe-work practices, and contractor safety and environmental performance initiatives.
• Support emergency restoration assignments and the delivery of major transmission modernization projects.

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of transmission construction and transmission power system operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable work practices, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Five to ten years of construction, maintenance, or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in applied science, engineering, finance, business, or equivalent experience.
• Human resource management, business planning, communication, and information technology skills.
• Valid motor vehicle driver's license.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy delivery and transmission.
• Supervisory experience with both bargaining-unit and non-bargaining-unit employees.
