Senior Manager - AI Engineering (Generative AI)

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise AI platforms, conversational AI, enterprise knowledge solutions, and reusable digital and mobile channel integration frameworks.
• Oversee intelligent automation for KYC, compliance, customer service, and risk monitoring, including agent workflows, orchestration frameworks, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Operationalize generative AI, large language models, embedding models, foundation models, and AI services across business use cases.
• Lead cloud-based AI and ML pipelines across Azure and AWS, using secure storage, efficient processing, serverless approaches, and cloud-native architecture.
• Apply MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, automated retraining, drift management, and model evaluation practices.
• Manage and motivate the engineering team, oversee delivery against objectives, and implement departmental policies, change initiatives, and service standards.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience leading AI/ML engineering, platform development, or large-scale digital product engineering.
• Enterprise-scale experience deploying AI/ML solutions, preferably in banking or financial services, including conversational AI, agents, generative AI platforms, or enterprise ML platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong knowledge of deep learning, LLMs, multimodal models, RAG, vector databases, agentic systems, NLP/NLU, recommendation engines, and personalization.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL/NoSQL, GraphQL, REST, FastAPI, Azure, AWS, MLOps, data lakes, knowledge graphs, vector databases, Tableau, Power BI, or Superset.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, rapid prototyping, enterprise-grade security and scalability, and familiarity with foundation models, RLHF, agentic AI, and open-source communities.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing a digital-only bank or leading a major digital transformation.
• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in AI/ML.
• Experience with LangChain, CrewAI, Pinecone, Azure OpenAI, or Amazon Bedrock.
