Development Lead (.NET)

Salary: $98,000–$137,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, sustainment, modernization, and retirement of PAE Fires software applications.
• Provide technical leadership and serve as the point of contact for Government applications, platforms, configuration, installation, support, and dependencies.
• Direct source-code development, code reviews, testing, release planning, technical documentation, and controlled production releases.
• Maintain development, staging, pre-production, production, and training environments, ensuring application availability and integrity.
• Monitor database capacity and performance, coordinate database maintenance, and improve reliability, maintainability, and throughput.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, database, network, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders to resolve dependencies and sustain mission applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Advanced software engineering experience across architecture, coding, testing, deployment, sustainment, and modernization in secure enterprise environments.
• Strong Microsoft .NET/C# experience, with enterprise web and application technologies; familiarity with Angular or JavaScript is relevant.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, database performance and availability, application-to-database integration, Git, Azure DevOps, automated release pipelines, and code review.
• Experience maintaining multiple application environments, coordinating controlled releases, and applying secure coding, access control, and vulnerability remediation practices.
• SECRET security clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps Server, Visual Studio, IIS, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Serena Business Manager.
• Knowledge of static code analysis, DISA Application Development STIGs, OWASP Top 10 mitigations, and software-assurance controls.
• Microsoft, Azure DevOps, DevSecOps, or secure software-development certifications.
• Experience supporting Army or Department of Defense applications in classified and unclassified environments.
