CNC/Manual Mate Grinder (Nights) (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom; night-shift work with overtime when requested.

What you will do

• Operate and set manual Studer S20/RM250 machines.
• Operate and set CNC Studer S33/S31 machines.
• Machine exotic and hardened materials to exceptionally close aerospace tolerances.
• Perform precision manual land grinding to limits of 0.00005 inches.
• Complete first-off inspections and the required quality documentation.
• Set and run multiple machines and processes, including night shifts and requested overtime.

Requirements

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship and mate grinding experience.
• Previous engineering or manufacturing experience in the aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
• Ability to use inspection techniques and equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance must be obtained and maintained. The role also requires self-certification and quality stamp-holder status after the qualifying period.
