Senior Subcontract Lead

Location: Hybrid and onsite work in Buffalo/East Aurora, New York, United States; approximately 20% travel to hirify.global sites or suppliers may be required.

Salary: $85,000–$125,000 annually

hirify.global develops and manufactures advanced systems for military aircraft and other aerospace applications.

What you will do

• Manage assigned suppliers end to end, including surveillance, monitoring, development, and relationship management.
• Convert demand signals into compliant purchase orders aligned with contractual terms, hirify.global systems, and processes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, A&T, and planning teams on buffer strategies, forecast validation, and procurement methods.
• Evaluate supplier performance, identify and mitigate risks, and lead supplier recovery and improvement activities.
• Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations and corrective actions to drive continuous supplier improvement.
• Support supplier selection, negotiations, supplier development, and continuity of supply.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, or business.
• More than 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or engineering across purchasing, supply chain, program management, manufacturing, engineering, or quality.
• Experience managing and developing supplier or customer relationships and procurement processes.
• Experience performing Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers and collaborate across functions, regions, cultures, and time zones.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.

Nice to have

• APICS, CPM, or PMP certification.
