Staff Software Engineer - AI Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, U.S.-based position; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Architect and build production agentic AI solutions, including autonomous workflows, tool-calling agents, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations.
• Set technical direction and define standards for agentic development, prompt engineering, context management, and LLM integration.
• Own AI enablement infrastructure, including agent skills, CI/CD automation, developer tools, and shared libraries.
• Partner with product engineering and Solutions teams to integrate agentic workflows into software development and customer delivery processes.
• Evaluate agent quality and establish safety, reliability, observability, and evaluation practices.
• Lead technical training, workshops, demos, office hours, and documentation for engineers across the organization.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of relevant software engineering experience with substantial .NET and C# expertise.
• At least 2 years of hands-on LLM development experience, including at least 1 year architecting and building production agentic AI systems.
• Strong experience with .NET 8 or newer, ASP.NET Core, and Python.
• Experience integrating Anthropic, OpenAI, or Vertex AI APIs, including production-scale tool/function calling and streaming.
• Experience building internal developer tools, CI/CD automation, or shared libraries for engineering teams.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to lead technical direction, training, demos, and enablement activities.

Nice to have

• TypeScript, JavaScript, and React experience.
• Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, Azure Service Bus, or RabbitMQ experience.
• Model Context Protocol, vector databases, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, and LLM evaluation or observability experience.
• Experience with Claude Agent SDK, Semantic Kernel, Microsoft.Extensions.AI, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Healthcare, HIPAA, and PHI handling experience; Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, OpenTelemetry, or distributed tracing experience.
