Staff Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of major systems and services.
• Build scalable, reliable, maintainable web-based applications aligned with client and business needs.
• Collaborate with solution managers, engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Resolve complex issues in development and production environments and improve software performance.
• Provide code reviews, technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to software engineers.
• Research technologies, create proofs of concept, and enforce automated, integration, unit, and performance testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8–12 years of related experience, including software development and SDLC experience.
• Experience with Python, Node.js, GraphQL, RESTful Web APIs, NoSQL, and Angular or React.
• Experience with Git, cloud platforms preferably GCP, CI/CD, deployment automation, Terraform, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with observability and APM tools such as New Relic or OpenTelemetry, plus Agile Scrum methodology.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python and Django, GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience using AI tools, preferably Claude.
• Healthcare industry experience.
