AI Solution Architect

Location: Livingston, United Kingdom; hybrid working with two days per week in the office. Office facilities are also available at the Osterley campus in London.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end, enterprise-grade AI solutions using agent frameworks and large language models.
• Translate business problems into secure, scalable, resilient, performant, and cost-effective technology architectures.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align AI capabilities with commercial goals.
• Connect engineering, data science, architecture, and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Embed security, compliance, operational resilience, and long-term sustainability into solution designs.
• Produce architectural documentation, data models, and technical specifications for implementation and handover.

Requirements

• Proven experience architecting AI solutions in complex enterprise environments, particularly with agentic AI, generative AI, or LLM technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP, including AI, data, integration, and deployment services.
• Experience with solution architecture, consulting, or business-facing solution design.
• Programming experience and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, services, and deployment practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate with executives and multidisciplinary teams on complex architectural trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI patterns, orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, and responsible AI.
• Knowledge of data architecture, integration patterns, APIs, event-driven design, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience with agile delivery, governance forums, architecture reviews, and cross-functional technical decision-making.
