FE175 - Sr Program Manager (Defense Manufacturing): Leading complex technical programs for marine deck machinery and specialized shipboard systems with an accent on integrated scheduling, financial control, customer management, and cross-functional execution. Focus on governing critical paths, mitigating program risks, managing global suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with government contracting requirements and NOFORN restrictions.

What you will do

  • Own program performance across schedules, costs, technical execution, profitability, and customer deliverables.
  • Lead senior-level customer relationships, manage expectations, conduct major negotiations, and support customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute Integrated Master Schedules, budgets, strategic milestones, and critical-path plans.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks while pursuing opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, subcontractor, and supplier activities across a matrixed organization.
  • Manage financial reporting, EAC analysis, program health reviews, process improvement, and mentorship of junior program managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related technical field, or Business Management.
  • 8+ years of experience leading complex technical programs in design, manufacturing, defense, or aerospace environments.
  • Direct experience with design/build or complex manufacturing programs.
  • Strong knowledge of government contracting, including FAR and DFARS regulations, and experience managing major suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Strong financial expertise covering program budgets, EAC reporting, variance analysis, and P&L management, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and MS Project.
  • Must provide proof of US citizenship and attest that there is no dual citizenship due to access or potential access to NOFORN data. Strong English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

  • PMP certification.
  • Previous machine shop experience.
