Facilities Maintenance Team Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at 101 Industrial Drive, New Bern, North Carolina; 2nd shift

What you will do

• Maintain safe, clean, reliable, and available production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and modify equipment using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine-control systems.
• Identify operating difficulties and collaborate with maintenance and controls engineers on process and equipment improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, fabrication, machine assembly, and facilities project work.
• Plan facilities work, request replacement parts and materials, and complete assigned work orders and documentation.
• Mentor and train lower-level maintenance personnel while maintaining continuity between shifts.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a maintenance-related field preferred.
• At least five years of related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of plant systems, infrastructure, utilities, drawings, schematics, and machine controls.
• Fabrication skills with lathes, end mills, welding and soldering equipment, plasma cutters, sheet-metal brakes, and band saws.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Electrical license preferred; internal job-bid, disciplinary, UTO, and qualification requirements apply.
