Mechanichal Engineer R&D (Medical Devices)

Location: Växjö, Sweden; site-based with 1–2 days of remote work per week

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design activities and make technology choices based on functional requirements.
• Develop design concepts and manage controlled design changes across the product portfolio.
• Conduct technical investigations and verification activities, including defining acceptance criteria.
• Create and review test specifications, verification reports, technical documentation, and labeling.
• Support risk management and usability engineering for cleaning and disinfection products.
• Monitor techniques affecting disinfection processes and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Academic degree in engineering at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level.
• At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with product development in cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Familiarity with applicable standards, especially in the medical device industry.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
• Background in medical device development.
