Test Vehicle Fault Trace/Uptime Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Gothenburg, Sweden. The role requires valid eligibility to work full time in Sweden, a Swedish B driver's licence, and availability for domestic and international travel across Europe, China, and the US, sometimes at short notice.

What you will do

• Perform electrical and mechanical fault tracing on complete test vehicles, including issues arising from vehicle rebuilds and incomplete configurations.
• Update vehicle software and hardware in response to work orders and project requests.
• Complete harness and ETC builds, repair work, pre-registration delivery preparation, and end-of-life de-preparation.
• Support suppliers, participate in domestic and international expeditions, and maintain test vehicle readiness.
• Support daily workshop operations, timely deliveries, quality control, and 5S workplace organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or extensive practical experience in the field.
• Preferably at least five years of experience as a workshop technician working with complete vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of complete vehicle hardware, software, and electric vehicles.
• Experience with computer-based electrical fault tracing and relevant analysis tools, such as DSA and ZDS.
• Swedish category B driver's licence, forklift licence, and good computer skills.
• Intermediate English, both spoken and written, and valid eligibility to work full time in Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and INCA measurement and analysis tools.
• High-voltage work certification for power-up and power-down procedures.
• Hot work certification.
• Competence in CATIA CAD.
