Licensed Automotive Mechanic (310S)

Location: Ayr (Kitchener), Ontario, Canada; onsite

Salary: $35.00–$40.00 CAD per hour, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors.

What you will do

• Perform general mechanical repairs and maintenance, including brake, exhaust, alignment, ball joint, air conditioning, oil, fluid, and tire services.
• Diagnose vehicle issues and service mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components.
• Complete pre-sale, post-sale, motor vehicle safety, frame, body, damage, transmission, differential, and powertrain inspections, including test drives.
• Maintain shop operations, move vehicles, source parts, prepare customer quotes, and assist with work orders.
• Provide guidance and assistance to apprentice technicians.

Requirements

• 310S Licensed Technician Certification required.
• Experience repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems and components.
• Valid G driver's license and a clean driving record required.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Own tools required.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including Saturdays.

Nice to have

• Motor Vehicle Inspection license.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• OEM diagnostics and previous dealership experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
