Sr. Infrastructure Specialist (Azure)

Location: Onsite in Victoria or the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Australian citizenship and an active AGSVA NV1 Clearance are required.

What you will do

• Provide operational support for production and non-production servers hosted on Microsoft Azure and Red Hat.
• Maintain system availability, performance, patch compliance, tagging policies, RBAC controls, NSG configurations, and HA/DR practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve L2/L3 incidents involving virtual machine performance, boot failures, networking, and operating systems.
• Integrate Azure Monitor and Dynatrace into platform monitoring and proactive incident response.
• Support hardening activities, cloud-native backup and recovery validation, and identification of protection gaps.
• Collaborate with service desk and change management teams while maintaining infrastructure documentation and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Must be an Australian citizen and hold an active AGSVA NV1 Clearance.
• Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Satellite.
• At least 2 years of hands-on infrastructure experience in Microsoft Azure and Red Hat environments.
• Experience supporting RHEL and Windows Server virtual machines.
• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, including virtual machines, storage accounts, load balancers, NSGs, and availability sets or zones.
• Experience with Azure-native patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ITIL processes.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or Azure DevOps Engineer certification.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification.
• Experience in government or highly regulated environments.
• Experience with Terraform or ARM templates for infrastructure as code.
