Network Deployment Engineer (Networking)

Location: Hybrid; available locations are Singapore or Sydney. Limited travel is required, and offer-stage candidates may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub.

What you will do

• Provision, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network infrastructure in new data centers.
• Perform remote server administration through IPMI/BMC, including provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and firmware updates.
• Configure network devices for greenfield deployments and brownfield migrations, including global cross-connect installations.
• Coordinate contractors, hardware manufacturers, data center and network providers, logistics partners, and other service providers for rack-and-stack installations and upgrades.
• Build Python, Bash, Jinja-based, and agentic AI automation to standardize deployments and reduce repetitive operational work.
• Create infrastructure plans, documentation, SOPs, MOPs, and runbooks while supporting facility power, cooling, security, rack layout, and cable management activities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in data center operations, SRE, Linux systems administration, network engineering, or DevOps.
• Experience with network and server installation, configuration, troubleshooting, remote lights-out access, and IPMI/BMC administration.
• Knowledge of optical transport technologies such as CWDM/DWDM, network protocols, topologies, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Experience writing Python or Bash scripts and building agentic AI tools for workflow automation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, process improvement, and coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of BGP, anycast routing, OSI troubleshooting, DCIM tools, and major network or optical device operating systems.
• Network or Linux certifications, including JNCIP or CCNP.
• Experience with rapid deployment, 24/7/365 mission-critical services, on-call rotations, contractor management, and program coordination.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
