Engineering-Vmware and Compute (VMware)

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week in an HPE office.

What you will do

• Resolve customer infrastructure issues by telephone, email, and remote sessions.
• Diagnose and isolate complex VMware and compute issues with other technology teams.
• Escalate issues to vendors according to established processes.
• Maintain case documentation, SLA timelines, operational metrics, and team productivity targets.
• Handle Problem Management, Post Incident Reviews, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in an enterprise managed services environment.
• Experience administering vSphere datacenters, including ESXi and vCenter upgrades, HA, DRS, networking, storage, security, and performance monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of HPE ProLiant DL, HPE Synergy, and HPE Apollo platforms, including iLO, OneView, firmware and driver updates, and server diagnostics.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS, zoning, datastores, virtualization storage integration, and ITIL incident, change, and problem management.
• Availability to work in a 24/7 support environment. Strong communication, customer service, ownership, and complex infrastructure troubleshooting skills are required.

Nice to have

• VMware VCP, HPE ATP/ASE Server Solutions or Synergy, RHCSA, CCNA, or ITIL certification.
