Senior Product Manager (Kubernetes)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA or Sunnyvale, CA, US

Salary: $170,000–$205,000 annually plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Own major product areas within the Managed Orchestration portfolio, including roadmap, priorities, quality, outcomes, and continuous improvement.
• Design Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, control-plane capabilities, node pools, node health, managed add-ons, workload scheduling, Slurm on Kubernetes, and customer-facing APIs.
• Translate complex infrastructure problems into detailed product requirements covering APIs, lifecycle states, failure handling, upgrades, and customer controls.
• Partner with engineering throughout discovery, design, implementation, and validation to resolve ambiguity and shape durable solutions.
• Evaluate working software, edge cases, failure modes, reliability, operational burden, and readiness for customer release.
• Coordinate interfaces across infrastructure, networking, storage, identity, observability, capacity, and workload teams.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience owning complex technical products or infrastructure initiatives from definition through delivery and iteration.
• Significant experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, workload orchestration, or related technologies.
• Understanding of how training, fine-tuning, inference, checkpointing, and GPU-intensive workloads interact with orchestration systems.
• Ability to reason through APIs, lifecycle states, failure modes, upgrades, operational workflows, and distributed-system dependencies.
• Strong product judgment, independent execution, precise documentation, and effective collaboration with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with HPC environments, Slurm, specialized networking, or large accelerator clusters.
• Experience operating or supporting production infrastructure, including reliability, upgrades, debugging, and incident response.
• Hands-on experimentation with infrastructure products and APIs.
