Senior Java Integration Engineer

Location: Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, or Romania. Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

What you will do

• Develop and validate Java-based integration solutions.
• Reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with the ClickHouse JDBC connector.
• Debug Kerberos/GSS authentication for Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
• Migrate the connector from JDBC v1 to JDBC v2 and verify compatibility.
• Test functionality across Windows, VPN, and Tableau environments.
• Package and sign connector releases while collaborating with technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive Java development and integration experience.
• Strong knowledge of JDBC driver development and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with Kerberos/GSS authentication and Java integration with Tableau or similar BI platforms.
• Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical databases, legacy code, and migration of existing solutions.
• Experience packaging, signing, and releasing Java applications, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent technical English at B2 level or above and a valid EU work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Experience using GenAI in structured software development life-cycle workflows.
• Familiarity with agent-based workflows, automation patterns, and AI-augmented development.
