What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and optimize batch and streaming pipelines with Dataflow and related GCP services.
- Improve data quality, reliability, and performance across an enterprise data platform.
- Model data and develop integrations across BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and other data sources.
- Manage schema versioning and database changes with Liquibase or Flyway.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a Java Software Engineer focused on Data Engineering.
- 2+ years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud SQL.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with databases, data integrations, and connectivity patterns.
- Knowledge of Liquibase or Flyway and experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL or ELT data pipelines.
- Upper-intermediate or higher English level and effective communication in international teams.
Nice to have
- Python scripting skills.
- Knowledge of modern data architectures such as data mesh or lakehouse.
