Full Stack Software Engineer (Geospatial)

Location: Springfield, Virginia; full-time onsite. U.S. Person status and an active TS/SCI clearance are required, with willingness to obtain a CI polygraph.

Salary: $116,000–$154,000–$169,400 annually for the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Compensation varies by experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, flexible software for mission-critical applications.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance.
• Use cloud technologies to extract, transform, analyze, and visualize large geospatial-temporal datasets.
• Develop analytics and derivative data products that help users extract meaningful knowledge.
• Work directly with analysts and users across the intelligence community and Department of Defense to understand mission needs and propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and users to troubleshoot problems and deliver maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, U.S. Person status, and an active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.
• At least five years of software development experience, including design, development, and implementation.
• Proficiency in a multiparadigm language such as Java, Python, Go, or Rust.
• Experience with large-dataset extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis; cloud architectures including AWS and C2S; and NoSQL stores such as Elasticsearch or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud application development, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Geospatial processing, libraries, visualization tools, remote sensing datasets, geospatial formats, or sensor-based data streams.
• Familiarity with government collection platforms, Agile methodologies, and open-source resources in government computing environments.
