Salary: $120,000–$135,000 per year plus bonus; restricted stock units included.

What you will do

  • Design modular integrated electronics buildings, low-voltage switchboards, medium-voltage switchgear, and critical power distribution equipment.
  • Create production-ready 3D models, fabrication drawings, specification sheets, bills of materials, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Prepare shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings.
  • Apply regulatory requirements, commercial codes, customer specifications, and engineering standards to product designs.
  • Participate in model reviews, drawing checks, DFMA and DFx reviews, and engineering change orders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to resolve technical issues and improve design procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience, ideally with engineered-to-order power distribution equipment.
  • Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM for complex designs and assemblies.
  • Strong knowledge of metals, fabrication materials, and manufacturing methods.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, energy codes, and UL listings.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods; participation in the required drug and alcohol program is mandatory for this safety-sensitive position.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer license.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP software.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis software such as FEA or FDM.
