Quality Tester (Switchboard Testing)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States; on-site

Salary: $25–$28 per hour plus bonus; restricted stock units included.

What you will do

• Execute visual inspections, continuity, insulation resistance, functional, operational, and energized functionality tests for switchboard assemblies.
• Follow test procedures and checklists to evaluate switchgear against engineering specifications and industry standards.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain multimeters, megohmmeters, Hi-Pot testers, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Record test data, identify trends and failure points, and prepare clear test reports.
• Document non-conformances and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement, documentation control, and training for production personnel on quality checks and testing procedures.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in electrical testing and quality control, focused on medium- and/or low-voltage switchgear assemblies.
• High school diploma or GED; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing principles, switchgear components, safety practices, and standards including NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining electrical testing equipment, plus proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma, perform physical inspection and testing tasks, and comply with safety-sensitive facility requirements and safety training.

Nice to have

• NETA or other electrical testing or quality control certifications.
• Experience with automated testing systems and data acquisition or analysis software.
• Manufacturing experience with high-reliability electrical equipment.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes for electrical failures.
