Shift Supervisor, On-Road Operations (AI Robotics)

Location: California - San Francisco. Flexible schedule required, including nights, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: $80,180–$108,240 annual base pay, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Hire, interview, onboard, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 autonomous-vehicle operators.
• Manage operator performance reviews, feedback, training, competency, and mentoring.
• Coordinate start-of-shift and end-of-shift activities, including attendance, software burns, data importing, and operator equipment preparation.
• Work with planning teams to prepare operators for new features, understand weekly goals, allocate resources, and report operator availability.
• Respond to operator and onsite incidents according to established procedures.
• Review plan-versus-actual performance, resolve deviations, and lead cross-functional continuous improvement and standardization projects.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience managing teams with 10 or more direct reports; relevant hiring, performance management, coaching, or mentoring experience is required.
• Understanding of US labor, employment, and driving laws.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, data-review, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support operational needs with a positive, adaptable attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
• Interest in robots and tools supporting AI and robotics development.

Nice to have

• At least 4 years of experience managing large teams of 15 or more direct reports.
• At least 2 years of experience in the autonomous-vehicle or delivery industry.
