Chief of Staff (Robotics)

Salary: $230,000–$280,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the operating partner to the CEO and connective tissue across the executive leadership team.
• Synthesize information, clarify tradeoffs, and prepare recommendations for high-quality executive decisions.
• Align leadership around shared priorities and drive cross-functional initiatives across engineering, operations, product, finance, and people to completion.
• Build durable operating systems covering OKRs, planning cadence, metrics, reviews, and communication rhythms.
• Improve leadership meetings so they function as decision forums and help resolve conflict earlier.

Requirements

• 6+ years in fast-moving operator roles such as Chief of Staff, strategy and operations, top-tier consulting, investing combined with operating, or a founding role.
• Track record of completing cross-functional initiatives in technically and operationally complex environments.
• Experience running adopted planning and prioritization processes, including OKRs or quarterly planning.
• Exceptional written communication, including decision memos, board updates, and all-hands narratives.
• Strong judgment under ambiguity, systems thinking, executive presence, writing and synthesis, and bias for closure.
• Willingness and ability to work in person at the San Carlos office.

• Chief of Staff experience reporting directly to the founder or CEO of a scaling hardware, robotics, AI, or deep-tech company.
• Top-tier consulting or investing background combined with an operating role at a high-growth company.
• Experience designing all-hands, board update, and weekly business review rhythms.
• Ability to translate fluently between technical and business audiences.
