Staff Memory Circuit Design Engineer

Location: USA, Mendota Heights, Northland

Annual base salary: USD 109,700–175,500, plus a discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Analyze memory architectures and evaluate design tradeoffs.
• Design and build memory and circuit blocks at gate and transistor level.
• Run transistor-level simulations, layout extraction, post-layout verification, and reliability analysis.
• Plan physical implementation, integrate leaf-cell layouts, and build physical memory macros.
• Develop characterization, simulation, and verification automation scripts.
• Define silicon test plans, correlate silicon results with simulations, and debug silicon issues.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Strong experience developing memory compilers or custom digital circuits, including SRAMs, register files, multi-ports, and ROMs.
• Deep understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, EM/IR, reliability analysis, memory models, DFT schemes, and chip-level integration.
• Proficiency with circuit simulators, automation scripting, and engineering tools; Python proficiency is considered positive.

Nice to have

• Experience with test setups, silicon testing, and silicon debug.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, multitasking, and self-management skills.
