Health and Wellness Director (RN) Senior Living (Nursing)

Location: Little Neck, New York, USA; onsite senior living community

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 yearly

What you will do

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Health & Wellness department, including compliance, planning, assessments, staffing, budgeting, and hands-on care.
• Conduct resident assessments and ensure care needs are met according to physician orders, state regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor care-plan progress and communicate changes in residents’ conditions to physicians, families, and associates.
• Evaluate associate competencies, provide leadership, and implement required training and in-service programs.
• Complete nursing audits of medication carts, eMARS, and TARS to support regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate ancillary services, assist with nurse coverage, manage staffing and supplies, and provide 24/7 on-call support.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey RN nursing license in good standing and graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Four or more years of supervisory experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or skilled care.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn new applications.
• Ability to perform regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, and other physical activities.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and support residents using proper body mechanics.
