Account Manager, Electrification, Energy & Water Efficiency

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; candidates must live in or around the Jacksonville area. Local travel is required 50%–80% of the time, with a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Salary: Starting pay of $55,000–$60,000; stated full-time pay range of $50,364–$85,618.

What you will do

• Support utility-sponsored programs that promote successful energy and water efficiency projects.
• Advocate for customers and ensure accurate understanding of available program offerings and incentives.
• Develop data-driven outreach strategies to recruit and retain customers in energy and water efficiency programs.
• Prospect, identify, and qualify potential energy and water efficiency upgrades.
• Increase customer awareness of the benefits provided by utility program incentives.
• Travel locally 50%–80% of the time; mileage reimbursement is provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; one year of experience may substitute for each year of education.
• At least 1 year of experience managing successful client relationships and related project management activities.
• At least 1 year of experience in an energy efficiency, electrification, and/or water conservation-related role.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
• Experience with public speaking is strongly preferred.
• Reliable vehicle for required local travel.

Nice to have

• Background in utilities or commercial products.
• Experience with the energy and/or water efficiency market in Florida and with commercial and/or industrial companies.
• Experience with energy efficiency technologies and practices, economic analysis, and energy efficiency program implementation.
• Knowledge of distributors, contractors, and construction companies serving the Southeast.
• Experience with successful energy efficiency programs and utility Demand Side Management program implementation.
• Certified Energy Manager, Certified Lighting Professional, or Certified Energy Auditor credentials.
• Experience with ENERGY STAR, LEED, and other program platforms.
• Experience performing energy audits and energy savings calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
