R&D Strategy & Operations Manager (MedTech)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD annually, with potential performance-based bonuses.

hirify.global is a medical technology company developing a point-of-care EEG platform for rapid seizure detection and the management of serious neurological conditions in acute care settings.

What you will do

• Conduct strategic analyses supporting technology decisions, R&D roadmaps, capacity planning, process improvement, and insight generation.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and decision briefs for the CTO and leadership team.
• Drive priority R&D and technology initiatives across Product Development, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, and go-to-market teams.
• Own project trackers, dashboards, and status updates while identifying risks, dependencies, and escalation needs.
• Lead or support strategic projects across R&D, technology, operations, business systems, and external relations.
• Conduct research and benchmarking to inform product and operational decisions.

Requirements

• PhD required in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong project management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently conduct literature reviews, customer interviews, competitive analyses, and opportunity assessments.
• Ability to structure complex and ambiguous questions and create frameworks that support effective solutions.
• Technical background and confidence engaging with executive leadership and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

• Experience with medical devices or MedTech product management.
• Experience in strategic consulting or business strategy and operations.
