Compliance and Assurance Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines; hybrid work with a requirement to work from the Makati office at least twice a month

A digital platform business operating mortgage, property search, conveyancing, brokerage, and buyer’s agent services across Australia and the Philippines.

What you will do

• Support risk, compliance, legal, governance, and operational activities, including maintaining risk management records and contract registers.
• Conduct assurance reviews, compliance monitoring, control testing, and post-settlement compliance reviews.
• Identify compliance risks, control gaps, operational weaknesses, and process inefficiencies.
• Coordinate documentation and evidence for internal audits, external audits, panel lender reviews, and regulatory requests.
• Track findings, remediation actions, follow-up reviews, and issue closure.
• Build stakeholder relationships and contribute to process improvement and governance reporting.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in quality assurance, compliance monitoring, assurance reviews, audit, risk, or governance-related activities.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, remain calm under pressure, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify process gaps, analyse trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Best Interest Duty, Responsible Lending, and ASIC guidelines.
• Experience in financial services, mortgage broking, banking, compliance, assurance, or risk.
