Senior Consultant - Water Governance, Strategy & Policy

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working policy. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK or be eligible for sponsorship and must be physically located in the UK on Day 1.

What you will do

• Evaluate flood risk management programmes and water-focused innovation programmes.
• Develop governance models for water resource management.
• Appraise investments and mechanisms for mobilising finance for nature recovery.
• Apply qualitative, quantitative, analytical, evaluation, economic, and data science methods to environmental policy projects.
• Manage projects, budgets, research teams, and client deliverables.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and grant applications.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrable experience and interest in UK environmental and water policy, including water resources, floods, or water quality.
• Strong qualitative, quantitative, analytical, evaluation, economic analysis, appraisal, impact assessment, data science, or environmental economics skills.
• Good understanding of the UK policy-making process; UK Government assignment experience is advantageous.
• Degree, master’s degree, or PhD in a relevant discipline, plus experience managing projects, budgets, and research teams.
• Exceptional written and spoken English, and the legal right to work in the UK or eligibility for case-by-case sponsorship.

• Prior experience in a consulting environment.
• Experience working for academia, government, or non-governmental organisations.
• Experience working on assignments for the UK Government.
