Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA; work is performed in R&D, light-manufacturing, and engineering office environments.

Salary: $67,900–$101,000 annual base salary, plus potential discretionary or non-discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support the development and management of system requirements, specifications, and design documentation.
• Integrate and test electromechanical, fluidic, thermal control, and imaging systems and subsystems.
• Characterize system performance through experimental and analytical methods, interpret data, and present recommendations.
• Help design, implement, and optimize software sequences that automate manual assay protocols on MSD instrumentation.
• Develop and execute system verification, validation, and reliability test plans.
• Document failure modes, effects, and criticality analyses and implement engineering change orders for product and process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience or demonstrated capability in systems engineering, system integration, or engineering testing.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, present findings, and make recommendations.
• Ability to experimentally and analytically characterize system and subsystem performance.
• Ability to develop technical requirements, specifications, verification plans, and validation documentation.
• Ability to work in R&D, light-manufacturing, and engineering office environments and communicate effectively.
• Work eligibility in the United States is validated through E-Verify.
