Lead - Quality Inspection

What you will do

• Inspect and test materials, parts, and finished products at different production stages.
• Establish testing procedures for dimensions and mechanical, electrical, chemical, and performance characteristics.
• Document test results, evaluate quality and reliability data, and prepare comparison summaries against existing standards.
• Recommend manufacturing changes to improve quality and reduce scrap.
• Assign quality control duties, evaluate team performance, arrange quality-related training, and support labor relations requirements.
• Maintain quality records and reports, investigate errors and their causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Advanced technical and process skills with thorough knowledge of the quality function and manufacturing business.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and measurements and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to handle small components, distinguish close and color vision details, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work across shifts and product lines and instruct other employees.

Nice to have

• ASQ certification as CQT, CQA, CQPA, or CSSGB.
