Quantitative Trader/Researcher Intern (High-Frequency Trading)

Location: New York or Chicago

Salary: $3,500–$5,700 weekly base salary

What you will do

• Design, implement, and deploy high-frequency trading algorithms.
• Analyze market data and market microstructure to explore trading ideas and identify patterns.
• Create tools and analytical computation libraries for market data analysis and trading.
• Develop, augment, and calibrate exchange simulators.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably C++ or Python.
• Working knowledge of Linux or Unix.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in financial markets and enthusiasm for new technologies and ideas.

Nice to have

• Previous industry experience.
• Teaching Assistant experience or participation in relevant Olympiads.
• Familiarity with machine learning, data analysis, market research, or data modeling.
