TL;DR

Early Career Intern - Investments (Risk) (Investment Risk): Supporting investment risk teams by gathering and analyzing portfolio, financial, and market data across loan strategies with an accent on credit analysis, investment research, and risk insights. Focus on interpreting portfolio metrics, researching market trends, and presenting recommendations to investment and senior risk management teams.

Location: New York, New York; hybrid workplace model with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office. U.S. permanent work authorization is required; employment-based immigration sponsorship, OPT, and CPT are not supported. Relocation and housing are not included.

Salary: $40/hour, approximately $6,400/month based on 160 hours.

What you will do

• Support senior investment risk professionals with data gathering, analysis, and risk-related recommendations across loan strategies.
• Research industry trends and analyze portfolio constituent financial metrics and market data.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, client portfolio managers, research teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations, summaries, and findings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in training, mentoring, team meetings, and networking activities.
• Complete and present a capstone project to senior Investment Risk and Investment team members.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program as a rising junior, graduating by summer 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated interest in investments; relevant majors include Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering, and Mathematics.
• Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States without immigration sponsorship, OPT, or CPT.
• Must be able to work in an hirify.global office; the workplace model requires at least four office days per week.
• Analytical thinking, creative problem solving, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Prior internship experience in investment management.
• Experience gathering and interpreting market data.
• Intermediate proficiency with Python, SQL, Power BI, R Studio, or Excel.
