What you will do

• Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer using AI-assisted query profiling to prevent slow queries.
• Build and harden data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations with AI code review workflows.
• Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by becoming a second engineer capable of independently operating the serving layer.
• Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage and resolve production issues rapidly in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to government cloud data access.
• Experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems like StarRocks, Trino, or ClickHouse, including query tuning and performance optimization.
• Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response, comfortable using AI tools for debugging and code review.
• Independent ownership mindset with ability to take on-call responsibility and ramp up quickly using AI-assisted research.
• English proficiency at least B2.
