Program Manager, Product Development (MedTech)

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Salary: $85,000–$130,000 annually for roles performed from Illinois; compensation may vary for California, Colorado, and New York.

What you will do

• Lead complex clinical assay development programs from concept through commercialization.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, milestones, and detailed execution plans.
• Coordinate and motivate cross-functional product development teams while maintaining timelines and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets, cost estimates, expenditures, financial reporting, and scope-change impact analyses.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve critical issues, and present tradeoffs involving budget, resources, and schedule.
• Report project status to senior leadership and stakeholders, facilitate meetings, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, clinical, technical, or business field preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Project management certification such as PMP highly preferred.
• Understanding of CLIA, CAP, GMP, NYSDOH, and FDA regulations and requirements.
• Proficiency with project management and budget management tools, such as Smartsheet or MS Project.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, conflict-resolution, stakeholder-influence, organizational, and independent execution skills.
