Lightning Protection Technician (Electrical Safety)

Location: Norcross, Georgia, United States; approximately 60% field work and 40% office work, with regional travel primarily across Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida and occasional nationwide travel.

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, full-time, day shift; up to 25% travel.

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, and install lightning protection systems on commercial buildings, including flat roofs, office towers, and skyscrapers.
• Climb ladders, access roofs, and work safely at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Operate hand tools such as wrenches and drills for repairs and installations.
• Prepare detailed inspection and repair reports and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with project managers and clients while working independently and with a small field team.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures and complete projects on schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Construction experience is strongly preferred; 1–5 years of experience is preferred, though motivated candidates with less experience and new graduates may be considered.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs unassisted, perform physical labor, climb straight ladders, and work on commercial building roofs.
• Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, email, and written communication.
• Familiarity with hand tools and knowledge of OSHA standards are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, ability to pass a physical exam, background check, and drug screening, and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• Prior construction or safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
