Senior Product Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in San Jose, California; on-site in the San Jose office three days per week. Access to export-controlled information requires eligibility under U.S. ITAR/EAR regulations, including U.S. person status or eligibility for the required export authorization.

Salary: $227,000–$267,000 per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Own the product strategy, vision, and 12–18 month roadmap for internal information systems and tools.
• Lead build-versus-buy decisions across ERP, PLM, MES, commercial SaaS, and custom software solutions.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Mission Operations to prioritize business needs and deliver high-ROI solutions.
• Translate complex operational requirements into product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with software engineers, analysts, and IT teams to design, integrate, and deploy reliable systems.
• Define KPIs for user adoption and operational efficiency, and improve tools using feedback and data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of Product Management experience delivering internal tools, enterprise software, or business systems in technically complex or high-growth environments.
• Experience in aerospace, space, defense, or deep-tech hardware manufacturing.
• Experience evaluating build-versus-buy options, implementing commercial SaaS platforms, and integrating them with custom software through modern APIs.
• Strong technical fluency with software engineering, database architecture, IT leadership, operational workflows, and roadmap prioritization.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control access requirements for ITAR/EAR-regulated information.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with software development, SQL, data modeling, or enterprise system architecture.
