Senior Counsel (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Washington, D.C. or New York, NY; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global is a fintech company providing APIs for connecting consumer financial accounts, managing liabilities, and executing payments.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lending agreements from first draft through signature.
• Partner with account executives and customer success teams to accelerate commercial deal execution.
• Design AI-assisted workflows, contract automation, internal playbooks, and legal review tooling.
• Build repeatable processes across Legal, Sales, Customer Success, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Product.
• Expand legal support to Method’s emerging commerce product line.

Requirements

• At least three years of post-JD commercial law experience in the consumer finance industry.
• Experience independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating varied commercial agreements.
• Prior in-house experience at a fintech, bank, or consumer finance company.
• United States work authorization is required.
• Strong judgment, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
• Ability to advise on complex commercial and regulatory issues with limited precedent.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of open banking, GLBA, FCRA, EFTA, and Nacha rules.
• Experience building or deploying contract automation or AI-assisted legal tooling.
