Senior Staff Accountant (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger records, perform account reconciliations, and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules, research discrepancies, and support external audits and tax reporting.
• Maintain raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory records; review valuation and reserves; and analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoices, payments, reconciliations, aging, collections, and billing discrepancy resolution.
• Record and reconcile cash activity, monitor cash requirements, and support cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Prepare sales and use tax returns, maintain documentation, and improve accounting controls and processes with cross-functional departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, cash management, financial reporting, and sales tax compliance.
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop, advanced Microsoft Excel, GAAP, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Norristown, Pennsylvania, United States.
