Senior Security Engineer (SaaS)

Location: United States; the stated salary range applies to candidates working in Playa Vista, California.

Salary: $167,000–$227,000 per year for the Playa Vista, California location.

What you will do

• Design and implement security controls and tooling across AWS cloud and on-premises environments.
• Lead the vulnerability management program, prioritizing and driving remediation across engineering teams.
• Own security expertise for SIEM, SAST/DAST, IAM, and related security practices.
• Embed security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle and partner with engineering and IT.
• Lead security incident investigations, response activities, and root cause analysis.
• Identify control gaps, support audit readiness, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of security engineering experience.
• Strong experience with SIEM, SAST/DAST, AWS cloud security, IAM, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Experience delivering security engineering in a SaaS environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge of agile delivery practices and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
