Creative Engineering Director (AI)

Location: San Jose (Hybrid: minimum 3 days per week in office required)

What you will do

• Define the vision and strategy for complex, scalable design systems across multiple digital formats.
• Manage and mentor a leadership pipeline, including Creative Engineering Leads and Associate Directors.
• Champion the integration of AI tools to improve workflows and solve client challenges.
• Represent the creative engineering function in new business pitches and high-stakes client presentations.
• Set and enforce technical craft standards across all accounts and teams.
• Lead the innovation agenda by piloting new tools, formats, and processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in creative technology, front-end development, or a related field.
• Proven track record of leading teams and managing other managers.
• Deep expertise in design systems architecture and strategy.
• Experience leveraging AI to improve workflows and client outcomes.
• Strong narrative and presentation skills for both technical and C-suite audiences.
• Ability to work from the San Jose office at least 3 days per week.
