Senior Director, Development (AI Data Center)

Location: On-site five days per week in San Francisco, California; must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Salary: $270,000–$325,000 annually plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic execution of multi-billion-dollar AI data center campuses, owning delivery, budget, and quality.
• Manage the full development lifecycle from site selection and entitlement strategy through municipal negotiations and commissioning.
• Represent hirify.global with government officials, utility executives, and community leaders to secure entitlements and infrastructure.
• Identify macroeconomic, regulatory, and technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect speed to market.
• Lead collaboration across construction managers, engineers, consultants, and other multidisciplinary partners.
• Oversee EPC contracts, master schedules, and project budgets across major capital investments.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale real estate development.
• Track record delivering industrial, life sciences, or energy infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in entitlements, environmental CEQA/NEPA processes, and complex utility interconnects.
• Experience influencing C-suite and Board stakeholders as well as public-sector partners.
• Strong command of master scheduling, construction law, project finance structures, and engineering requirements for high-density infrastructure.
• Must work on-site in San Francisco five days per week and be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in data center or renewable energy sectors.
• Entrepreneurial background or experience scaling infrastructure in a high-growth startup environment.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA, MS in Real Estate Development, or JD.
