Director, Capacity Planning (AI)

Location: Houston, United States; willingness to travel up to 25% based on business needs.

Salary: $170,000–$290,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

Nscale is building a vertically integrated GenAI cloud platform spanning data centers, software, and applications for the AI stack, with a focus on sustainable technology.

What you will do

• Own the Americas long-range capacity plan and translate compute demand forecasts into land, power, and data center requirements.
• Build and maintain demand-to-supply models covering air- and liquid-cooled workloads, build, lease, and colocation options.
• Run scenario and sensitivity planning to quantify capacity risks, buffers, contingencies, and delivery impacts.
• Lead portfolio solutioning and sequence development projects and colocation transactions against demand milestones.
• Establish planning systems, dashboards, data models, governance, and executive reporting as the single source of truth.
• Represent capacity planning in investment committees, connect demand and supply stakeholders, and hire and develop the planning team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in capacity planning, supply planning, or infrastructure portfolio planning, with progressive leadership responsibility.
• Experience translating demand forecasts into build, lease, or buy supply plans, scenario models, and capacity risk analyses.
• Experience implementing integrated business planning systems such as SAP IBP and BI or dashboard tools.
• Working knowledge of data center development, power delivery timelines, and colocation transactions.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; bilingual English and Spanish is a plus for Latin America expansion.

• Data center capacity or supply planning experience in hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
