TL;DR
Contract Manager, ANS (Data Center Capital Projects): Developing and executing procurement and contracting strategies for data center construction projects with an accent on strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, risk allocation, and supplier performance. Focus on optimizing EPC/EPCM sourcing models, managing complex commercial packages, and ensuring compliance across FEED and EPCM project phases.

Location: On-site in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, including client and partner sites.

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Develop procurement and contracting strategies aligned with project scope, schedules, delivery objectives, and risk requirements.
  • Define packaging, sourcing, and engagement models for engineering, construction, and process equipment packages.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, standardization, cost reduction, tender clarifications, and contract negotiations.
  • Establish and enforce procurement and contract management processes across FEED and EPCM phases.
  • Review contract documents and manage contractor and consultant performance, KPIs, risks, and HSSEQ compliance.
  • Coordinate engineering, finance, legal, suppliers, and project stakeholders while reporting on contract status and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of procurement and contract management experience in capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC/EPCM models, FEED execution, and sourcing for engineering, construction, and process equipment packages.
  • Experience with lump-sum, cost-plus, and target-cost contracts, including risk allocation strategies.
  • Knowledge of local procurement regulations and construction law, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP or procurement tools, SAP, Ariba, and cost analysis.
  • Professional English is required; the role is based on-site in the United States.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial sectors.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Bilingual English and French proficiency.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to lead through influence across global project teams.
