Paralegal - IP, Litigation & Public Policy (AI)

Location: Hybrid position in East Syracuse, New York, United States

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives

What you will do

• Administer the global intellectual property portfolio, including invention disclosures, portfolio databases, filing workflows, prosecution support, and annuity coordination.
• Support patent and trademark matters, trade secret protection, IP process initiatives, patent marking compliance, and IP metrics reporting.
• Support litigation and dispute matters through matter tracking, document collection, discovery coordination, legal holds, and outside counsel liaison.
• Draft, prepare, and redline legal documents while improving templates, policies, guidelines, and department procedures.
• Support compliance, governance, policy rollouts, training logistics, legal operations, inventor awards, IP tools, legal spend tracking, invoice processing, and billing compliance.
• Use AI and data analytics tools to improve IP and litigation capabilities, efficiency, and consistency.

Requirements

• Paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of relevant corporate and law firm legal experience supporting intellectual property and complex legal matters.
• Knowledge of IP processes and deadlines, including coordination with outside counsel.
• Strong understanding of attorney-client privilege and confidentiality practices.
• Excellent organization, communication, writing, prioritization, and execution skills with the ability to work independently across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing and editing legal documents and improving processes with AI or data analytics tools.
