Salary: $95,300–$158,800 annual U.S. national base pay; geographic differentials may apply. New York ranges from $104,800–$174,700, New York City from $114,300–$190,500, and Rochester from $95,300–$158,800.

What you will do

• Research, design, and develop complex software components across multiple systems and product areas.
• Translate complex product requirements and user requests into software designs and detailed specifications.
• Design and work with complex normalized and dimensional data models and multiple data storage subsystems.
• Resolve complex technical issues, implement bug fixes, and apply coding best practices, development processes, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with technical personnel, development teams, stakeholders, and internal and external technology resources.
• Mentor and train entry-level and less-senior software engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in development languages and technologies including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET.
• Strong proficiency in data manipulation and optimization, data modeling, and multiple data storage systems.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, test-driven development, software development best practices, and applicable toolsets.
• Strong research, written, oral communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
