Forward Deployed Engineer (Search)

Location: United States; remote, virtual-first

Salary: $135,000–$175,000 annual base salary, plus bonus and RSUs.

What you will do

• Own the technical relationship and architecture for major Search customers across catalogs, data pipelines, analytics, personalization tools, and site architecture.
• Translate customer business requirements into implementation plans and partner with Product and Engineering through execution.
• Architect Feed, Pixel, and API integrations and advise on merchandising rule strategies.
• Identify technical risks, debt, anti-patterns, and trade-offs while acting as a trusted technical advisor in escalations and executive conversations.
• Validate unreleased features, ensure product-release readiness, and lead end-to-end go-live QA.
• Provide field input to Product and Engineering, improve documentation and delivery processes, and support complex escalated issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical services, professional services, solutions consulting, implementation, or a related customer-facing technical function.
• Experience with customer implementations, integrations, technical consulting, or solution delivery for SaaS commerce, martech, search, or enterprise platforms.
• Ability to lead technical escalations and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-influence, prioritization, and proactive escalation skills.
• Ability to combine strategic technical leadership with hands-on execution and operational process improvement.

• Experience with Search is strongly preferred.
