What you will do
- Lead the Materials Interactions and Diagnostics team with strategic vision and long-term technical roadmaps.
- Oversee development and deployment of lab infrastructure, materials monitoring technologies, and predictive modeling.
- Manage delivery of advanced materials characterization systems and integrated modeling frameworks.
- Build collaborative relationships internally and externally to develop fusion-capable materials.
- Translate goals into actionable tasks and manage planning to meet milestones.
Requirements
- Must have 10+ years of materials-related industry experience and 3+ years of management experience.
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
- Proven leadership in R&D organizations delivering complex technologies in demanding environments.
- Expertise in materials characterization, degradation mechanisms, lifetime prediction, and high-temperature stress phenomena.
- Experience with multiphysics modeling tools such as Matlab, COMSOL, and Python.
- Expertise in NDT and in-situ diagnostics for critical systems monitoring.
- Strong autonomy and ability to balance rapid execution with strategic thinking.
