What you will do

• Lead the Materials Interactions and Diagnostics team with strategic vision and long-term technical roadmaps.
• Oversee development and deployment of lab infrastructure, materials monitoring technologies, and predictive modeling.
• Manage delivery of advanced materials characterization systems and integrated modeling frameworks.
• Build collaborative relationships internally and externally to develop fusion-capable materials.
• Translate goals into actionable tasks and manage planning to meet milestones.

Requirements

• Must have 10+ years of materials-related industry experience and 3+ years of management experience.
• Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• Proven leadership in R&D organizations delivering complex technologies in demanding environments.
• Expertise in materials characterization, degradation mechanisms, lifetime prediction, and high-temperature stress phenomena.
• Experience with multiphysics modeling tools such as Matlab, COMSOL, and Python.
• Expertise in NDT and in-situ diagnostics for critical systems monitoring.
• Strong autonomy and ability to balance rapid execution with strategic thinking.
