Distribution Plant Manager

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, USA; onsite distribution center leadership with travel to hirify.global facilities and client sites approximately 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead daily distribution center operations, including receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, replenishment, and pharmaceutical product shipping.
• Manage accuracy, efficiency, production targets, storage locations, service levels, and contractual obligations.
• Own operational budgets covering safety, productivity, financial planning, labor planning, and inbound or outbound operations.
• Lead exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple shifts, develop staff, and oversee orientation and training.
• Ensure SOP compliance and participate in non-conformance investigations and QNCR/CAPA programs with the Quality team.
• Collaborate with clients and internal HR, finance, IT, and distribution operations stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Requirements

• College degree and at least 7 years of direct distribution management experience, preferably in life sciences or medical devices.
• Professional expertise in warehousing and distribution operations, with knowledge of WMS and/or TMS platforms.
• Advanced analytical, evaluative, critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data, prepare reports, establish priorities, and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Ability to work onsite in Memphis, Tennessee, with approximately 10% travel.

Nice to have

• 3PL, sample management, cold-chain, or pharmaceutical distribution experience.
• Experience communicating with the DEA and FDA.
• Six Sigma certification and knowledge of Lean methodology.
• Project management experience and implementation of WMS or material handling equipment technology.
